Our 01 Bonneville has developed an interesting problem- sometimes the gas pedal just won't go down. If you shift to Park and back to Drive, it starts working.
Looking under the dash I can see a cable that looks like a shift linkage (and seems to move with the shifter) hanging right behind the gas pedal, so that when it'* pressed, the cable gets pinched. Has anyone seen that before, and what'* a correct fix for it? It does not seem loose or unattached, just routed in a weird place

It'* not a common issue that we are aware of...

We may need someone with the manuals to check the routing and let us know where it actually belongs. It doesn't belong under the pedal to be in the way.

When I first got my GXP I was hitting the shift cable with my foot. It never went behind the pedal but it was annoying me. I just zip tied it up about an inch higher than it was hanging and have not had a problem with it since.

I'll see if I can find something to tie it to-it'* getting annoying to push it up every few weeks
