Fuel pump gone bad after 1 day??
Morning everyone. I had my fuel pump changed tuesday, now the new 1 is not sending any pressure at all. I still hear a whine coming from the fuel pump when I turn my key on. Could this be something else??
In your year, there is a corregated tube that connects the pump to the sender. If the pump was replaced by itself ($100) versus replacing the ($300) entire canister then I could understand the corregated tube coming off at one of the two ends.
Being that you hear the noise, it appears the pump is/should be working and if you get no pressure..... something in the canister assembly has gone wrong or a fuel line on top of the tank has popped off. Although you don't mention smelling fuel.

No I don't smell any gas. And it was the assembly that was put in. I was driving the car when it happened. Could a fuel line come off while in driving?? Maybe I sould send the pump back to the store.
