Front and rear gaskets are identical. As mentioned, in that picture...one is turned inside out.

Been there...changed those.

And... while it'* not a ton of fun... we've got it easy compared to our W-body friends...

Yep. the front and rear are the same. If you look at the bottom picture, the indentation on the top left has an extra little nipple on it. That lines up with a similar spot on your valve cover to help you align things. Why they have the upper picture showing the gasket like that, I haven't a clue.

Had to study that picture a bit to see it, but the top gasket is not only flipped inside out, but also turned sideways with the short ends lengthened and the long ends shortened. Not real obvious, but it is the same gasket.

Billboost, Archon, Buttermore-

Well, I'll be. You guys are absolutely right. I'm feeling kind of lame right now. I went back out in the garage, and not to be fooled by a gasket set, I grabbed each gasket by its "nipple" (come on now...) and dangled them (please!). One was turned inside out.

Ted...We've been there and done that. Front and back heads are identical, valve covers are also identical except the oil fill hole.
