Default Front seat swap

I have a 2004 SE and want to put in the leather heated seats from a GXP. Is this a simple unbolt and swap? Also is the heater control switch separate and like mounted on the dashboard? Thanks Jim

Thanks Sawgunner, I PMed Crunkfunk and he explained that there could be some additional wiring required in order to get the seats working properly. I'm not sure I am up to the extra work so it may be a no go.

If you or someone you know has a good background in electronics they might be able to help you, but for $380 for just the front buckets they better be in perfect condition, I got the fronts and the 2 pieces of the rear for $270 but this was without shipping and from some guys I know very well

Basically when the option isn't on the car the wiring isn't either so adding stocking option upgrades can be a little more difficult

An SE with a power drivers seat has 3 wires: power, ground, and seat belt signal and nothing on the passenger side

The uplevel heated seat has about 16 IIRC, 4 go to the heated seat switch for that particular seat, 2 of the wires go to power from the rear fuse block: 1 constant and 1 with the ignition on, 2 other wires go to the RIM or rear intigration module: 1 tells the modules in each seat that it is ok to turn on beacuse the alternator is putting out enough power and the other 1 receives a signal when the heated seats are on (these must be connected or they will not work) Now here is the only tricky part the connector at the RIM does not have pins in the 2 cavities that you need to add wires to so I happen to have some extra pins from an old light control connector, I have figured out how to take these connectors apart and how to put a pin where one isn't or take one out which involves some small screwdrivers

Then you just run the wires and enjoy your heated seats
