Default Front door weatherstrip ?

I need to replace the front door weatherstrip on my drivers side door and was wondering if an adhesive is necessary :?:

have you gotten the new weatherstriping yet? if you do, just check to see if it has adhesive in the channel or not.. its going to need to have some sort of adhesive whether you have to add it or not

Unlike the trunk seal, this one does not have any adhesive in the channel.
Any recommendations on a type of glue ?
