Default fog light keeps burning out

My driver side for light keeps burning out on my 02 se. I've replaced it twice in the past 4 months. What would be causing this? (just to let you know I never touch the light with my bare hands when installing it. nor never touch the actual glass of the bulb)

usually when bulbs burn out like that, its because of moisture. do you notice the dew inside the housing?

Try a Sylvania Long Life bulb, see if lasts any longer.

try putting a little dab of dielectric on the contacts, not a lot. If you changed the whole assemble you might have better luck. I stopped putting bulbs in the 92, they would never last. In the 97, they never burn out. Go figure.

Is there any sign of a black oxidation on the plug contacts?

I may be wrong, but I could have sworn I've seen posts related to the issue that silver star'* don't last in the fog lights for some odd reason... I'd do a search.

Yes, several have reported that the Silverstar fog lights only last around 3 months at most.

I've used the Silverstar a few times & never will again, they never last more than a few months.
As for yours burning out on one side only. Check the voltage of each side with a multi meter. It'* not very common but you could be getting move voltage to the driver side for some reason & burning it up sooner.
