Default First Time Caller . . . .

Hey, everyone. I'm the proud new owner of a 2000 SSEi! And I LOVE IT! This is my fourth car and surprisingly its the first American car I've bought. Other than a few minor things (burnt out dash lights, a few dings and some squeaks) the car is in great condition for 100,000 miles. The previous owners babied the car so I don't really have any complaints, but I did want to know what some suggestions were as to keeping the car in good running order. I just changed out the Trans. fluid, but I'm wondering if its time for a tune up or anything like that. Any hints or tips would be appreciated. Thanks everyone and happy motoring.

Yes, welcome to our group. Plugs and wires would be a good starting point, if they have not been done recently. Fuel and air filters, oxygen sensor, and throttle body cleaning. Stay away from Bosch products, as experience has shown that they don't play well with our cars. Replacing the lower intake manifold gaskets should be considered for sometime in the future.

Take a look around the forum..lots of good information here.

Changing out the Supercharger oil might be a good thing as well. Doing it for the first time is always fun (and smelly ).

Welcome to BC!

I noticed that you are from Central Florida, so figured I'd let you know that I am hosting a BC Meet in October if that sort of thing interests you. Here are the two threads discussing that if you are interested:
