Default different motor

Ok, I bought a 1998 Grand Prix motor with only 58,000 miles to put in my 2000 Bonneville, I would just like to know if anybody has any information of common problems or procedures that I should be awar of to transplant this older motor into my Bonnie. I know about the motor mounts, oil pan, oil filter bracket, dip tube, what I don't know is about the sensors and or wiring, throttle position senser, etc. Any specific information or diagrams would be appreciated. I just want to get as right as possible before turning that key. Thanks for all you folks help. When It gets running again i will keep everybody posted..

I just did a transplant recently myself. Going from an OBD 1.5 system to a 2.0 wasn't pretty. To be on the safe side. Just transfer over ALL of your sensors. Knock, TPS, MAF, PCV, Crank, Cam, Oil pressure switch, Oil level switch, fuel injectors, yada yada everything.

Please do not transfer all the sensors. If you transfer a knock sensor you must reseal it and know the proper torque spec or it will not read properly. The torque spec on a knock sensor effects it'* sensitivty.

The motor you are swapping in is essentially the same motor. You have almost all the items listed.
Oil pan
Oil pickup tube
Oil filter adapter
Rear exhaust manifold
Throttle body (different maf sensor/TB)
Coil pack bracket

And remove the silly mount by the coolant sensor/top radiator hose from the GP motor and you'll be all set.

The only sensor that is different, is the MAF, because pre 99 L67 motors used a post in the TB and after that they didn't have a post.
