So I'm back to smelling anti-freeze and it was the first thing that a worker at Napa noticed when I popped my hood and started the car up. If it can be seen in the picture, theres resedue in the resevoir to the left and he said that was a sign that something was going on (likely intake failure), is anybody able to confirm that?

I don't think so. It just looks to me like you need to change out the Dex and clean out your resevoir tank. The smell you're referring to could be a very slight seep from somewhere.

Check where the t-stat housing meets the block. Also check your coolant elbows.

I'll deffinatly print out that post and check everything out. We did notice some steam andit does smell somewhat sweet but maybe i'm just imagining things

I think my dad noticed that the T-stat needs to be replaces and he said something was leaking there, could this be a culprit?

mileage is about 80,600 and I'm not sure if it'* using coolant, I don't think so but I've only owned the car just under 2 months
