I have an annoying electrical problem with my interior lights on my 2003 SSEi. The 10amp fuse keeps blowing. If I replace the fuse, the lights resume working for maybe 2 or 3 weeks, or sometimes even longer. There must be a bad ground or something shorting out somewhere. Often times, finding an electrical short is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Has anyone else had this particular problem? Where do I even start to fix it other than paying the dealer $70/hr to sit there and scratch his head?

I'm not sure that anyone has had this problem. However with a multimeter and some patience we can walk you through finding the problem.

To start with, which specific fuse is blowing? Is it fuse 27 INT LP in the rear fuse box, or some other? As it only happens about every 2 or 3 weeks, does that correlate with something that may only be used occasionally? One of the doors, vanity mirror, courtesy lamps, etc.?

I know this is an old thread but did you ever figure out your problem? I have an 03 SSEI that is doing the exact same thing.

I will do that if I can not figure it out this weekend.
After reading some of the post I am going to check the sun visors first.
