Data issues between components and PCM. Have you done anything to the car recently?

Data issue is also caused by water/corrosion under back seat I think.

Your Powertrain Control Module.

Check under your back seat for any wires that are bolted to the body/chassis that might be corroded.

Hey Mike,
I checked the wiring harness under back seat and I found no corrosion at all? I checked all vacuum hoses and they seem to be all good? Would you have any other solutions in mind that I could check?
Thanks

Well first, you need moi, a Tech II, to see if you can communicate with the EBCM and the PCM.....then you need to pull the harness to the EBCM, check the connections as previously suggested(may need to perform a "drag test").....then check that you have power and ground, and also a fluctuating voltage on the serial data line....can compare this fluctuating voltage to the serial data line in the ALDL....

ps.....I think I post more like a V-8, or at least a V-6.....

Do a search in the 2000-2005 section for "data" and you'd be surprised at all the posts we have about that damn data issue.
