Aw come on....you are still the Clear Corner King. It'* all about continuous improvement. You can't sit still for long. Change is inevitable.
You should be very proud Tastedoats, mimickry is the sincerest form of flattery.

It is a very easy mod.
Prying off the lexan covers was the most tedious part of the job.
Hint - don't bother trying to mess with the sealant. There is plenty without having to add more. It is the non hardening type, so it flows, just make sure you warm up your assembly indoors for at least a few hours before beginning.
The cover snaps on easily but you will have to pinch it with some channel locks to get that last clip on.
After the lens is securely in place, you can add more sealant around the outside.

I didn't paint the amber bulb. I tried the first time with a lightly misted grey colour but didn't like it. Not bright enough.

wow, you may be the first, last and ONLY person to ever say they like the amber lenses
Ok. You convinced me. I just got done clearing my corners, and I'm impressed. It looks a lot better. I didn't get the thing about painting the bulb at first, but then I noticed they reflect the amber bulb really bad. So I found a can of metallic silver paint and now they look great!

go into your local model store and get "Bare metal-foil". It is a silver chrome like leaf looks just like chrome, wrap 1/2 or 3/4 of the bulb. The foil will reflect the light much better than silver paint. The foil has many other uses, I re-chromed the original radio on my old Cadillac and it looks factory....try it......you'll love it
