OK, check the wiring going to it. We've had more than one case of a critter climbing up under the sight shield and gnaw on the wires. If you had a service engine soon light, that would have been helpful to know in your original post.

yea i didnt have the light on at first it just came on...

FYI on the flashing engine light. That is a "possible catalyst damaging condition" and usually a misfire.

As mentioned, I'd also suggest starting with plugs and wires, general tune up.

Yeah...the tune up is still needed. Check the wiring while you're doing that.

Richs00SSEi- have you fixed the stalling and fluctuating rpms problem. I have had the same things happening to my car. I would be interested in what you have done so far to try and fix it.

I am still giving it a tune up i replaced all the plugs and wires and it was still stalling, now i found a vacuum leak and i got a new one and now my car will only stall and sputter when its a cold start, after getting to normal running temp, if you shut it off it will start right up no problems....i cant figure it out

Have either of you cleaned your throttle bodies?

Rich, has the O2 sensor (downpipe) been replaced recently to your knowledge, or is it the original? And what about the #3 injector open ckt. problem, was that resolved?

yes i cleaned out my throttle body, my o2 sensors have not been replaced....still original but if it was a sensor then it would come up as a code right?

Code, maybe... light.. maybe not.

I didn't hear back from you last weekend. was hoping we could get together and put my scanner on it.
