Default Cabin Filter Eqiup

Since we have had numerous people that have checked under their hood to find no cabin filter, i want to see if this is infact option code related. My theory is that the only thing that the option code K12 is only to add in the filter and nothing else. please check the RPO list in your trunk for the K12 code

Interesting. I will check this weekend. I did not have a filter but it was an easy add.

I was under the impression it was on all the vehicles. Not an option pack.

Toasted , I checked this morning and K12 not listed on RPO. 63 other codes but no k12. I gotta have a massive coffee fix then I'm gonna call Mr. Goodwrench. Are You sure that code is current through "05?

im not positive about if that code applies to yourcar. its good for 00, which would make me belive that it is good through 2003 at the very minimum, and presumably up tyo 05.

Let us know what they say. It'll be interesting to hear if they say it was optional and your GXP didn't get the option.

Well I finally talk to MrGoodwretch(after a 3 hour wait..) He was busy and digging up #'* but at least he got it all 4 me at one time.
The k12 code toasted gave is correct thru '06.
He had my RPO in his computer and said K12 not listed in mine.
There is no rhyme or reason, he can figure, as to why some get and some don't.
The one shown by Country is a cheaper aftermarket, but the oem style is at some stores.
The AC Delco part # is CF136 (short #).
Pgxp please let us know your Fram # for OEM style, apparently they make both.

Hey...granted the new filter was aftermarket, but I guarantee you that the dirty one is the OEM....car only had 31k miles on her when I got her....that filter was never changed by previous owner.....
