i looked at autobarn'* site and they dont have the CF 8804 in stock, ive been looking around for the complete kit and cant seem to find it anywhere, if anyone knows of a site that has the filter and support frames let me know, i rather go that way than go to my dealership for the stuff, thanks

Try Advanced Autoparts (if they are around your area) or online @ www.partsamerica.com

Here'* a direct link: Fram CF8804 Not a bad price @ $29.98 + shipping

Does anyone have the Part # for just the charcoal filter (less the bracket)?

Only way to know would be to pull the cover off the cowl and see if there is a filter element down in there.

After reading about how many options have been deleted from the newer Bonnies (including the GXP), I wouldn't be surprised if they had dropped the cabin air filter from the standard options list all together for everyone. GM has gotten many complaints about the HVAC system performance with the filters in, but I would bet that many of those complaints are from people that have had them in for acouple of years. Me, I replace mine every year because of my wife'* alergies. She can't believe how much better she feels when we drive our B'ville in the summer time rather than our truck or her company car (both without cabin air filters).

This year, it'll be the charcoal filter to get rid of some of those odors (country air - aka. cow dung) from outside the car.

There is only a sprinkling of carbon impregnated into the paper element. Not worth the price IMO.
.....you can still smell cow dung.

Maybe it is just a placebo but I feel that there is less dust in the car since I installed the Cabin Filter.
