They're still looking good. I still can't believe how nasty my old ones were. For anyone who has allergies or little children/babies, I strongly recommend keeping up with this.

As for the boy, he'* holding up well too, though I've had to change him since last I posted!!!

I just changed mine at 25k. That thing was filthy!!! I read somewhere about there being a carbon filter media available. Mine is just a paper media, but the carbon one would be sweet, with the ability to neutralize odors and all...

Yeah, the carbon one is much better.....but at least twice the price. I thought about getting it, but couldn't justify it. However, people with allergies would greatly benefit from the carbon ones.

i dont think we have ever replaced ours and we have 75k on the car. Ill bring it up with my folks (its their car). The clean filter probably lets the AC and heat run better too. Anyone know if there is something i can do for my 97?

Acutually it doesn't but it is a good reason not to name your son Mike. You'd hate to have him bragging about how he'* so good you n amed your son after him!

Have fun.

Just as a side note with these cabin air filters & automotive ventilation systems. I routinely spray Lysol directly into the intake with blower on high speed, then shift ventilation modes to kind of distribute the disinfectant through the various vent ducting.

I do that as well(although maybe not as much as you) about this time of year. The Lysol, to some degree, keeps mold from growing in the air conditioner evaporator. It stops that disgusting smell from coming from the vents when you initially turn the a/c on during the summer months.
