Default a/c display won't turn on

Hello has anyone know if there is a relay or fuse that i have to check?
My a/c button on dash display stays on off ...it first started flashing on and off so looking at a/c compressor i can see it was shutting on and off until it just displayed off and compressor stop running.. I went ahead and spliced the wires to the compressor and hooked up direct battery power and compressor turned on and blew out cold air from vents so wondering if the problem is from the button not giving it power.
Thanks.

Do you have auto climate control? If so it may be your Dash Integration Module going bad.

Have you scanned for P, B, and U codes?

I would be leaning towards your pressure sensor.....

I have not scan for any codes.. I'm sure I will need a tech scanner for those type codes... Where would the pressure sensor be located?
Thanks.

Pressure could be getting low also.

I suggest taking it to a shop to have the system look at it.

Sorry i neglected to mention I actually added a small bottle to see if that was the cause.. the meter was on green before and after adding the extra Freon it just went a little higher...I was thinking since display stays off when i press the ac button can it be the button that malfunctioned? also since wiring direct battery power to ac harness turns the ac compressor on and blows cold air.

I hope you didn't leave the compressor connected like that. You could build up excessive pressure and blow a line.

RESOLVED ....problem was the Air System Mounted Pressure Transducer "wire".
I took of wire sleeve followed and tested the 3wires with meter that ran from Pressure Transducer to top wire harness...the red wire was not making connection... I just cut and replaced wire and the compressor kicked on when everything was put back together ...simple wire to make a/c display read off.
Thanks guys, for replying.
