Well I have a few things going on but I will ask this question first and see how I make out. I have had my 2001 SSEi for a little over a year. For about the last 4 or 5 months every once in while I will smell like plastic or rubber inside the car....usually when I am sitting still. I have had my head everywhere under the hood but I don't see anything obvious......any thoughts??

The first thing that I'd check is the rear valve cover gaskets. You may have a slight oil leak that is dripping onto the exhaust manifold. That can end up smelling like burning plastic or rubber once it gets into the ventilation system.
