The brake light on my wifes 2002 se comes on periodically. Generally I notice it when I turn a corner and start to accellerate. It finally just goes off on its own. I believe it "dings" as well.

Any help is appreciated on what could be causing this. Thanks

i would start by checking the fluid level in the master cylinder, it might be low enough that when it splashes on turns it sets the light

I'm in agreement with Toasty.. we've seen a few of these. When the brakes get near replacement the fluid level is a bit low or if there is a slight leak for any reason.

if the low fliud is not the case... are there any other lights lit on the dashboasrd i.e. Service Engine/Stability ABS / Track Off???/
