This only happens at around 30mph and 45mph. Say I'm cruising along at either of those speeds and approach an incline. I naturally step on the gas to maintain speed up the hill. As I do this, the transmission seems to stay locked up, RPM'* do not raise, boost starts to come on to about 3 or 4 psi. When approaching 4psi, the engine starts to surge a little, assuming from getting boost at low RPM'*. If I push the peddle to close to half throttle, it will downshift and the boost goes away..... Any ideas?

Oh yea, it'* a 2000 ssei.

Your TCC lock up switch needs to be adjusted. The torque converter is going in and out of lock up. There is a write up on that in check info.

Thanks Dan, TC is staying locked. RPMS are not fluctuating. Engine feels as if it'* loading up. If I press on the brake while going up a slight hill, the TC unlocks than locks back up when I either let off the gas going up the hill or crest the hill. Also seems to be staying locked in down to about 40 MPH, I believe it should go in and come out at about 45mph?
