Not quite sure how you can compare non-supercharged GP vs. SSEi since there is like a $10k price tag difference, but whatever. :roll: Now GTP vs. SSEi would be a more fair comparison, but there is still a $7k+ difference in price there. (new of course)

They didn't really start to get cheap IMO. The build quality to me seems to be at least as good, and getting rid of digital dual climate control doesn't mean they were getting cheap. Maybe they weren't selling enough of them, or they just figured that maybe regular dual climate control was enough. (I personally like the regular dual climate control better than the digital, the digital crap turns the air on if you want it a couple degrees colder even though its only 8* outside!) Getting rid of the performance shift didn't really do anything. It was just in performance shift all the time. (sort of, there is more to it than that, but at WOT shift points were the same between '01+ and '97-'00 with perf shift on)

I will say that I do believe the build quality on the Bonnevilles is better than the GP's and it obviously is a bigger, quieter, more comfortable car. Personally I wouldn't mind having either one, I like the Bonnies because they are comfortable and have all kinds of cool little toys, but the GP's are much lighter which equals much quicker.
