Default Anyone else have problems with shaking?? *UPDATE*

I've done some research and found that quite a few Bonne owners have had problems with shaking and there is no explination for it. I've noticed while driving between 50-65mph, sometimes faster, that my car shakes. I've had the tires rotated, then had the balanced, and all that fun stuff and nobody can tell me why my car shakes. So I was wondering if anyone else had an issue like this.

Your are not even close to being the only one with this problem. I finally replaced the Goodyear RSA'* with Cooper Lifeliner SLE'* as the RSA' * were out of round. The vibration has gone away. What kind of tires are you running and did you get them road force balanced?

I have Mastercraft Avenger LSR'*. I've never even heard of them. The are brand spankin new though. They were on the car when I got it 3 months ago. And what is Road Force Balanced?

a warped rotor(*) can cause the same thing, it will only shake at certain speeds.

I can't tell if that was a comical retort or a definitive statement. You didn't mention that you had the rotors checked.

I've had shaking at certain speeds for more than one reason before. The first and a common reason is that the tire or tires are bad. Second reason is a bad "balancing" job.

An example; I had just had the alignment done and tires rotated and balanced prior to going on a long trip. I should have done it a day earlier, since I spent the whole trip shaking so badly I could churn butter. (and then I got in the car....J/K )

After the trip I returned to the place that did the balancing. They re-did the balance and proceeded to tell me my tire was bad and even attempted to show me where. The tire did not look bad to me but the shaking was as bad as ever, so I took it to the best place I knew, a town away, and had them re-balanced. Problem solved.

The manager at the Discount Tire (place that fixed it) told me that the spin balancing machines need to be regularly calibrated or they will incorrectly "balance" a tire. They have theirs calibrated every week by an outside calibration source. Makes a HUGE difference!.

You might ask the place that did the rotate and balance when the last time was they re-calibrated their machine.

Warped rotors would be noticable when stopping. She probably knows if her rotors are warped.

Both lol....but my rotors are new, and if they were warped, I'd know.

Thanks Lash. That'* where I had them balanced and rotated and all that stuff. My buddy works there and I asked him, he said it was just calibrated 2 days before. But I've had the shaking since i bought the car. I found a lot of complaints (not on BC) about people having problems with shaking. One guy changed tires 5 times and the car still shook.
