Default Any Info. would Be HELPFUL!!

My Service Stability Steering light is popping up on my control menu. I have been reading on here that the cause my be that me Steering Sensor is out. I have recently also been having trouble with control. What I mean by that is going over bumps the rear of the car tends to shift to one side quickly and also very bouncey ( up and down). I thought maybe my rear struts were bad but when I called a local parts store they no rear struts for my car. Please help I don't have a lot of extra money but I need to solve both of these problems. My Bonneville is an 2002 SSEI. Any information would be helpful!!
Thank You,
Rachel

your car has rear shocks, not struts, and they have auto leveling air assist.

How is the stance of the car? does the rear look like it is up too high?

I answered in your other post http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=84427
Please don't double post...it splits the answers and makes things hard to follow.

As Toasty says, if the back end of the car is much higher, it will cause a stiff ride, and the problem with it kicking out like that. It is quite easy to see if that'* the problem.

The Stability System can cause a number of action to be taken. These can include a decrease in engine power and application of any of the four brakes to be applied independantly. A common problem is the steering wheel position sensor although other causes do exist. At times this can be a tricky problem to solve. Based on what your stating, I don't know that I'd go after the rear suspension just yet.

You may want to have your dealer look into this. The DIC message, along with some of your symptoms seem too coincidental.
