A bad TCC solenoid switch could be the problem, and that'* mounted right above the brake peddle.

Is there a test I could attempt, just to simply check. Or is buying one the only option?

Ok, maybe this is my two cents, but I was having something of the same problem. I then followed Danthurs thread about testing and changing my Throttle Position senser and that completly fixed the surg feeling I kept getting! Maybe you should try and test that or just replace it, it'* not that costly and I bet that would help.

Ok the tcc is working in getting between 200 to maybe 500 rpm jump when slight touch of the brake. As far as the tps I don't have a reader to follow that last thread. Hmmm I might have to ask around here. It is possible I can come up with one. Any other suggestion.
