I just received my ZZP shift kit, which I hope takes care of the hard shifting for me. In the pictures on how to install shift kit, it says that if there is a lot of junk on magnet not to install kit, why is this? I had tranny fluid changed and they showed me the mess on the magnet, should I worry about this?

I had about a 1/4 of sludge on the magnetic. Did the ZZP install 2 weeks ago and dextron iv. No problems or issues at this time.

If there'* a lot of deposits on the magnet that means the transmission has a lot of wear and installing a shift kit can add more stress to the hard parts of the drive train.

I was able to install kit in under 2 hrs. thanks to the help of the great people on this site. First road test seemed to run gd. with smoother shift. I will take out for longer ride tom. and see how she acts. Now if you could just help with that damn doggity under load problem. I've tried plugs, wires, coils, and check for leaks and around o2 sensor! IDK

Dirty Air filter? O2 Sensor? MAF Sensor?

Any codes present?

If I stay on it too long the multiple misfire code appears. Not sure what the MAF Sensor is???? Air Filter new. I have not tried new O2 sensor, but did check for wires around it.

MAF = Mass Air Flow Sensor

I'll think about this one overnight.

Do you have any other times when the car acts up or only under load?
When you say under load do you mean in overdrive going up a hill or anytime you increase speed but stay in that gear?

Get some MAF Cleaner Spray and clean the maf off. Don't touch the wire with anything, just use the spray cleaner and let it air dry. Then try another run.
