Default 2002 pontiac bonneville input speed sensor

does anyone know where the input speed sensor is on a 2002 pontiac bonneville se, i changed the output sensor but i need to change the input sensor too but cant find it.

It'* inside the side cover for the trans. You'll need to pull the cradle and lower the drivetrain down to get to it. Are you getting a code for it?

Yep, in side the side pan cover on the case cover assembly.

yeah i got a code for the sensor but it comes on and go off but the abs light is staying on , i know the brake switch is part of the transmission can it be the brake switch bad because the transmission works fine and shifts good just has that little bump every now and then.

Check in tech info electrical. There'* a write up about testing the TCC switch. In that write up I show how to test those two switches. This is easy to do, far better then dropping the trans and changing the speed input switch.

the manual says i have a brake switch and a cruise control switch im thinking the its the brake switch because it works with the TCC could that be the same switch

Could be. One of those switches locks, and unlocks the TC, the other shuts off the cruise control.

Thanks alot that was what it was i changed the switch and its driving smooth again thanks alot, not i know u an expert on these cars i wonder what is a good dual exhaust system for this car and a good program to install for better performance......
