The Good News: My Bonnie recently passsed the 290K milestone.

The Bad News: A few days later, The Service Engine Soon indicator came on for the first time ever. The code was P0108.

The Good News: The car seemed to run fine so I rolled the dice and replaced the MAP sensor and reset the code and it hasn't come back. (Previously, it would come right back)

Possible Bad News???: The inside of MAP Sensor'* mount and also the PCV valve and its o-rings were covered with motor oil. I'm not smart enough to know if it should be that way but I'm guessing "No."

Nope, that'* normal for them to be wet with oil like that.

Whith as high mileage as thing has it pretty normal to have lots of oil vapor. Did you replace the PCV when you replaced the MAP sensor? Might be a good idea.
