i was wondering where is the map sensor located on a 95 bonneville? according to the chilton book the map sensor sits on top of the pcv valve case, but i looked at my engine and i don't see it sitting on top, its not there, where else would the map sensor be?

my car is a 1995 bonneville se model, 3.8 series 2 v6

Take the plastic cover off the top of the engine (the one that reads Series II 3800).
Standing in front of the car you will see a sensor at the passenger side of the upper intake manifolds with clips on both the left and right side. This is the MAP sensor.
Here'* a pic of the same engine with MAP sensor visible directly in front of the alternator (yellow/white clip).

page 1-12 of the chilton manual... 12 points right at it and the pcv valve...

yes i see it in the picture but i don't have the map sensor where it is supposed to be, all i see is just the cover nut for the PCV valve but no MAP sensor on top of it, do all the 3.8 series 2 come with MAP sensors? its weird cause mine isn't there, possibly my didn;t come with one?

ur engine (vin K) has one... did u look in the chilton manual like i told u

yes i did look at the chilton manual, it shows where is located right on the pcv valve cover, looked there but mine isn;t there, the map sensor is not there on top of the pcv valve cover where its supposed to be

ive figured this out.... the pcv valve is in a different location on the 95 vin k than the 96-99

have u found it yet, or do some 95 owners need to help u find it.
