Whenever mine adjusts (from heavy stuff in the back) it seems to only do it when I come to a stop. It'll run for a few seconds and cut off. Then if it'* not done, I've noticed it turn back on once I'm stopped again. I've never had it do it more than 2 or 3 times. If it'* constantly running, definitely sounds like a leak.

If they took all the mulch and stuff out, does it still do it?

actually not really, you have to see when the car is empty then if the pump runs alot you may have a problem

I still think it strange it ran that many times. I had my mom, a trunk full of luggage and some groceries in the back seat and trunk and it ran 2 or 3 times. An empty test would definitely tell more though...

the air pump in a 00+ should not run at all when when there is no load in the trunk except at start up, even if there is a leak

Agreed. The ELC is only there to help keep it level under a load. The car won't need the ELC with no load, as the shocks will keep it up on their own then.

you mean springs, not shocks, the springs keep the car at rideheight...

No, I meant shocks. Alldatadiy.com has shocks listed for the rear. I just double checked to make sure I wasn't losing my mind. I got the how-to on replacing them pulled up.

Oh, nevermind. I did a search for springs, and found there are spring as well. My bad.
