Default 2000 SLE Pic -=- 01 Civic CAI Mod Pic

Here is a pic of my new bonnie. Just added the CAI yesterday.
The intake is off a 01 honda civic. I had to hack the pipe to make it fit...
Took about 2 hours from start to finish. There is a noticeable difference in performance, especially at higher speeds. No change is gas milage, unless you want to count the slight drop from having a heavier foot... very nice sound coming from under the hood... and a nice "whoosh" when the car is shut off. I am currently working on a box to go around the filter.

right now the pcm is under the filter, but if it wasnt there the filter could drop another inch or two which would be perfect. has anyone mounted it anyplace else?

Pics

please tell me if link doesnt work, that web host is a pain

link works for me.

Love your SLE and I'm going to guess the members here are going to say a straight line pipe would work better but.... I like it.

Real nice looking Bonneville. Good luck with it. Give yourself extra time to clean those 20 spoke wheels, bro!

Yikes! Pretty Ville, but that'* a NASTY bend in the pipe. You need to really find a way to smooth out that turn, and lose the accordian at the same time you shield it from the engine bay heat.

Aside from that, I think I actually like that blue. Really jumps out at you.

Oh man that car is really sharp, I do still like those 20 spoke rims! Good choice liking the blue rice pipe intake sweet man! Enjoy don't drive it too fast us SLE drivers had no annoying supercharger wine so therefore feel like were flying... GO N/A OR GO HOME! Oh sharp color by the way!

like I said, I used the pipe from a 01 civic so it wasnt a perfect fit.
I tried to use a straighter section of the pipe, but that is what we got to fit best.
The pipe was free so I cant really complain about the price...
