2000 bonneville maf problems
hi everyone my brother just picked up a 2000 bonnie se with 155k the check engine light is on and im gettin code 0102 maf sensor circuit. so far we checked the plug goin to the maf according to the maf test and it had 11.29 battery voltage which said is ok. we have looked for vaccum leaks but found none . i have a 2001 bonne so we switched the mafs but still no luck. when the car is running it will start to stumble and stall until you unplug the maf and it idles but its a little rough but will not stall with the maf unpluged. we also have just cleaned the throttle body tune up and uim but the problem was prior to all of this. i think with the maf unplugged and it stops stalling is telling me the maf needs replaced but when we swapped them still no change any ideas?? thanks alot
hmm sounds very much so like a maf but did you check for vaccum leaks and a faulty or dirty tps sensor or idle air control valve(if equipped) id pull em and clean em and still if no change replace the maf
yes we have looked for vaccum leaks but nothing it does have a tps and a iac we has the tps off there isnt much to clean on it and it looked pretty decent but i did not take the iac out yet if that is dirty would that cause a maf code?
what should i use to clean the maf and can i use the same thing to clean the iac. i think this is what i should try next also i have already looked at the thin wire and its still intact on both mafs

MAF cleaner is for the MAF. It will also work for cleaning up other areas of the throttle body. You can also test the MAF by gently tapping on the top of the MAF. If the engine stumbles the MAF is bad.
