(1) Brake upgrade (2) Sway bar upgrade
So, I am posting this here because I posted it in the LeSabre section, and did not get a *single* response! Lets face it, LeSabres don't have the enthusiastic support like Bonnevilles. For my questions, think of my 2005 LeSabre as a 2005 Bonnie *SE*, please!
My 2005 LeSabre (30K) has the FE1 suspension and 11" front brakes. I'd like to upgrade both. Compared to my past Olds Intrigue, the LeSabre doesn't stop as well and while I did not expect the LeSabre to handle as well, it surely wallows!
1. For my Intrigue, I upgraded from 11" to 12" brakes by replacing the caliper brackets and the rotors, but keeping the *same* calipers and pads. Is this the same requirement for the LeSabre/SE Bonneville?
But, when I checked Autozone, the same caliper is listed for 11/12" brakes (great I thought), but AdvanceAuto or RockAuto lists DIFFERENT calipers for the 11 vs 12" brakes. So this is confusing, and much more expensive if I need to change the calipers, too. Advice would be appreciated!
2. I'm prepared to go to a junk yard and get a rear sway bar, as this car (and the SE) lacks one. But, I don't intend to modify the front sway bar/springs. Is there a maximum sway bar diameter that I should not exceed to maintain proper handling/balance between the front and rear of the car? That is, I can get sway bars from Bonnies, Park Aves, DTS, etc which range from 18 mm, 20 mm, or even larger.
Also, does anyone know the wrench sizes I would need to bring to the junkyard to remove the sway bar and associated brackets?
Thanks!

The people that answer 99% of the posts in here don't hang around in specific sections. We pretty much read every new post. If you don't get a response it is probably because no one has experience with what you are asking, or they are busy and haven't had a chance to respond. If you think your thread was missed, just adding a post saying "bump for response please" will bring it to the top of the list.
Actually, you did have 2 responses.
And Roy is pretty much spot on. I read 100% of all new posts everyday. If its something I am not familiar with, I leave it, BUT, I do try to come back to 0 reply posts and reinvestigate it.
Yes, its ok to "bump" a post to get attention. 2 day mininum please.
