I tried to replace my transmission. Removed all wires from engine. Trying to get it to start back up and I am caught with something.
I can't remember where the ground wire goes on the D cluster. I thought the apt, but it doesn't reach anywhere.
Also, I have 3 ground wires from battery, but not 100 percent where they go. One has a ring and then a prong sticking up.
I replaced the transmission. I f did this in my back yard. I tried to do it by removing the sub frame. Nope. I ended up puking every wire off engine and pulled the engine out of the car.
Ok I had to use the drum from my old transmission on the new one because I had 900 trans and I ended up getting a 902s. The inner tie rod came apart. Where did one get the circle piece that had those groves for the boot?
There * an engine wire diagram that shows a ground wire connected to the D block of wires. Where does that go? Also, there is a ground coming from battery that had a prong going up on it, where d is that connect to.
I get ready to start the car and it shows that the car is in R when I have it in park. How do I fix this.
I'm not a case expert but I thought I did well. Hopefully I can drive this thing soon. I'm going on 6 weeks doing this by myself.
I got the battery ground connected to the front of the engine. Solved.
How about the D cluster ground? It'* just a 1/2 inch wire. Did it go to the alternator?
Ok. I replaced transmission. After I put everything back together the light that shows you what gear you are in shows that when the car is in park the transmission thinks its in Reverse.
