Default Windshield washer works...but wont shut off!

Every time I use the windshield washer, it stays on until I shut the car off. This happens every time I use it! Any ideas?

how long does it stay on. they do stay on for a while if you just tap it once and let go. like 5-8 seconds...

witch seems like a long time.

What happens if you Hold it for like 1-2sec and let go?

5-8 seconds?!

I'll give it another try to night and wait a bit longer to see if it shuts off.

I think I hit it like 2 or 3 times after I thought it was "stuck" on.
