I'll move this to the mechanical problem section for you...you have two cars listed in your siggy...

Whoops! the second one is 1988...so... which car is it?

Have your fittings been greased recently? I had an empty rear ball joint once on my '97 that made a pretty nasty squeak. It was totally gone though after the zerk fitting was re-packed with grease.

Also, check your rear brakes, and see if perhaps you have a broken spring.

I've heard similar sounds caused by the above mentioned springs, brakes, grease fittings and bad wheel bearings.

your rear anti-sway bar has rubber boots that hold it to the frame, they do dry out and some times fall out after time, check them. I just replaced them for my 95 SSE and the sweek is gone.
