Default Is Whining Normal?

I recently replaced my EGR valve, changed the plugs and wires, o2 sensor, and air filter. Now I hear a whining noise when I accelerate. Is this good or bad. I have heard turbo chargers whine but dont know if superchargers are suppose to. Another question; What oil do I use for the supercharger and what is the procedure on changing the oil?

The SC should whine some with the stock airbox, expecially more so with a new air filter. Can you tell what area the whine comes from?

You need a 4.5mm allen wrench for the oil plug. Some tubing to siphon out the old oil, and two or three bottles of SC oil to do a good flush.

I just checked under the hood and the supercharger is whining. Now here is another question. I seen a picture where the guy plugged off his boost solenoid. What effect does that have?

You mean the drive end is whining? The oil is low, or the bearings have gone bad. The plugging of the solenoid stops the computer from limiting boost. You shouldn't plug it, but should remove the lower vacuum boot from the bypass valve actuator. Bend it back towards the little black box next to it and put it on the empty vac post. It may have a little foam filter on the post, remove it for the vacuum boot.

See how that vacuum boot double back on itself instead of attaching to the bottom vac post of the actuator? Do that.
