Default Where is my coolant going?

I am losing about 1-2 quarts of coolant every six weeks or so, and cannot figure out where. I know these things are bad about the upper intake leaking into the engine, but my oil seems uncontaminated, and there are no external leaks that I can find. Its been doing it for a long time, and doesn't seem to be getting worse. I live in Dallas, which is about like living on planet Venus with regard to temp, but its still doing it while the weather is relatively cool. Has anyone else run into this?

On this car?

Most likely it is the upper intake manifold beginning to fail. A full rupture is in most likely in the near future and that will fill the motor with coolant. Currently the car is probably burning it in the engine as the amounts are small.

Yep! Its on that car. And your answer makes me feel better about my decision to sell it (probably). I did the gasket on the upper intake several years ago, and it wasn't that bad, and I think aftermarket parts are available now, but I'll have to think about it...

please tell the owner what is about to go wrong (say it will go soon) or get it fixed. Please be honest to whoever you sell it to.
