Air tools are key if available. They reduce the pain and sweat factor by 1/2

7. Remove caliper and hang on previously mentioned hook from spring.
8. Remove brake disc.
9. Remove three T45 or T55 bolts. These will be acessable through holes in the wheel mounting flange.
10. Beat the Hub until it comes out.
11. Tap the new one in.
I will throw this in...

If you get a Timkin( spelling ) from autozone, it should come with a new O-Ring seal and new axle nut as well...

Depending on where you are, coaxing the Axle out of the Hub might be a PITA.... I live here in Florida, so All I usually do is screw the old axle nut on to cover the top / threads of the axle as to not do any damage, and pound the axle a bit untill it moves, I then remove the nut, remove the 3, T55 hub to knuckle bolts and then remove the hub...

If there is a lot of salt where you live, sometimes removing the axle from the hub can get interesting..

Good Luck
Hate to pull up a semi-old post here, but I searched and couldn't find it.

Question: Will this process be pretty much the same for a 2000 SSEi with TC and ABS?

Thanks.

Just about...the only difference is how the bearing is attached to the knuckle. Since you have aluminum knuckles you'll have 3 nuts and bolts holding it on, you'll have to hold the back while you loosed the front, and you might need a u-joint for the top bolt in the back.

Axle nut should be 34mm.

Cheers,
