Default What is there and where does it go? vacuum line?

Hey guys i have a CEL and its for the P0442 evap system leak i though maybe gas cap so i replaced it but the cel never went away. So today i take the engine cover off and find this

Fix it. That is your EVAP canister purge solenoid hose from the canister to the solenoid. It will trip a CEL.

And will also cause a vacuum leak, resulting in a lean condition and poor idle.

what part needs to be replaced? because it had tape over it it was unhooked but i just pulled off the tape and found that the boot was cracked how should i go about fixing this?

go to the auto parts store and get a piece of vacumn tubing and reconnect, so it looks like the one next to it.. maybe even replace the tubing on both of them

Most of the cars have a vacuum diagram on the radiator support and while it'* not the clearest, it should assist you in determining where a line should go if one were missing.

lol i duck taped it for now but i will go to the store and get a new fitting and i did not know about the pic on the rad my cart has been oil sparyed to hell lol

no but it needs it its cracked aswell right now the tape is just temp till i can get some time to go out and get the fittings
