Did you ever find anything else out about the recall? Did you ever go ahead and replace the UIM?
I found out that they did replace the UIM, but I have found nothing about what they did in the "campaign". There is no way to tell if they replaced the LIM at that time without removing the UIM.

But my coolant level stayed very constant after I posted this until about two weeks ago, then blamo! reserviour was empty. I checked the UIM and could not find a leak. Then noticed that there was a LOT of liquid down the side. Lower intake is leaking AND the valve cover gaskets are leaking. Yeah!

Ordered everything, asked a bunch of questions here, and tomorrow I am replacing the UIM, LIM gaskets and the valve cover gaskets. Parts came today and everything is there. I decided to go ahead and replace the UIM while I am in there to be on the safe side. Do I need to replace it? Prolly not, but not knowing what they did when the went in, I thought it was best to be on the safe side.

Cool - let me know how it goes. I'll probably be doing the same thing soon.
