Well I really don’t care how much my car weighs so I am making a hood out of the original and out of either steel scoops or fiberglass whichever works better. When you can get a heavier than stock 57 Chevy to do mid 8'* in the quarter then in my mind weight is not too much of a problem. Ill still be lighter than a 2000 ssei. Shaving handles will add weight too. Then the new paint. Then new interior. So I don’t think carbon fiber in my situation will make a difference. I like the look of carbon fiber and on a black car it’* awesome. Actually on green and blue it looks great too. I also like the idea of a carbon fiber interior, and that I will be doing.

Well of course it saves weight, but my point is for my needs the weight is not an issue. With or without, a Bonneville can be made to go fast.
What about painting it? I mean for the person who wants to save weight and have the option to paint it. What do you think? I personally think it would be a waste to paint, but then again a red Bonneville with a carbon fiber hood is just so very rice looking.

V,
I saw a two tone job over at BIP. It looks very good. As for green, I am partial to it, but you should go with your gut on this one. After all, no one else will have to live with it.

Teal Green. It wasn't the color I wanted when I got my car I wanted white. But I've never had a car that got as many comments on the color. I've been asked if it was a custom color, what color it was, Is it green or it is it blue and on and on and on. I've also have t5o say don't change the color of your car. With a 166,000 miles it would be cheaper to sell your car and buy one the color you want. It'* very exp-ensive to change the color of a car. Your looking at 2-3000 dollars to have it done right.
