Default What color should I paint my rims?

well, i have officially decided to paint my rims, im sick of dealing with $12 hubcaps from wal-mart ( ) they are just standard black steel rims. i was thinking of painting them a silver color but im not sure if it will look good, so i thought i would see what you all thought.

sorry i dont have any pics but my car is gold for those who dont know.

paint them "rust" coloured gold.

or get some chrome paint.

at least do the lip chrome or silver.

In all seriousness PLEASE get your car off the road, it looks extremely dangerous and could harm yourself or someone else if something suspension failed or even a rotted brake line or something:

put the money you want to put into it in a "safe car fund"

In under 24 hours. 15" Steel Buick Park Avenue wheels. Cleaned and 'scuffed', painted with Duplicolor wheel paint, and matching clear, then mounted and balanced the next afternoon.

willwren: I still think a silver lip would look cool on those like the stock rims.

This is a bit darker than my crosslaces, and I briefly considered the silver lip, but then realized it would make the rubber shrapnel alot more obvious. These things are going to get nasty real quick.

I understand that. just please dont drive too fast or take corners near large cliffs to fast or for that matter just be REALLY easy on the car, maybe it will keep going. A guy was killed in a alaska a few years ago when his seat fell thru his floorpan on a rusted Scout II. I remember my aunt telling me about it.

Just dont take the car to its limits and drive carefully and you will probably be ok My little rant is over.

Matt, that'* all rattle cans.

It'* all in the prep work. Wipe down with a dry lint-free cloth between coats.

Will answered your question, but............. I must agree that painting wheels is the least of your concerns here, the gold would match up pretty nicely though,

Ouch,
If the sides look that bad. I'd hate to see under the bottom.
