Ah, so many things to say. Umm... yeah, first I also have a custom made aluminum 3" intake, couldn't really make it cold air since our PCM is there so I put it as close to the headlight as possible. It'* a 45 degree bend w/ a filter w/ a velocity stack (import technology, I know but its better). That helped alot by opening up that factory restriction and giving more mid and top end (and some low too...) This cost me like $200 because I used Aircraft Aluminum so the intake charge would be cooler.
Second, I have a custom 3" catback exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler, basically least restriction possible, that helped alot with the mid to high end also. This cost me like $300.
Third I removed the MAF screen which helped low end torque and I had no Check Engine. It'* been off for a month and I am still good. Supposedly if you have the stock box and such, because it'* so restricted, at idle you will get a rough idle and a check engine light, so beware! And remember, if you use like the Thrasher CAI, it has the ribbed accordion tubing that can disrupt smooth air flow. This mod was free. Yeah!
And there is http://www.asechips.com, they have a chip for our car if you check out their website. I live an hour away from them so eventually I am going to get a chip from them once I change my cam to the Comp Cams... (mm.. I can taste that 30hp and 30ft/lb.... anyways) check out ASE, its like $300 dollars and dont think of necessairly as "how much horsepower will I get", its more about the quicker shifting, the better fuel maps, governor remover , and the extra 500 rpm'* (because we shift at 6k and a GP GT shift at like 5800... so we have a little advanatage since our motor'* are meant for high reving, they can go to 7k stock.) Anywho, I am rambling so in some ways we have the advantage and in some ways we dont.
Those are all the simple mods I can think of right now... If you have any other questions you can email me at krusher190@hotmail.com... Uhh... also the GP GT supercharger or rocker is possible to use. Thrasher shift kit too, I have that, it'* fun. But anything that fits on a Grand Prix GT fits on us since its the same engine. Have fun
