I really want to give my good old 3800 some more umph.. i have a 1995 se stock i want to do some mods but cannot find any anywhere... can any one help?
I know they make a K&N air filter for it. I am sure you could have exhaust done. The only exhaust I could find was Borla so I went to my local CAR-X and asked them what I could do. I ended up going with the LS1 80-Series Flowmaster muffler running out through Borla tips. It is on kinda on the loud side but it but I saved about $260.00 over the Borla. It took some low end away but it seems stronger mid range and up top.

Yeah but i'm looking for some lowend.. i have the tranny out of a big buick the is geared are 2.84 it now lacks on the low but hauls *** on the high end. i was gonna put a cherry bomb and make a fender CAI. what do you think. how much did you exhaust end up costing?
The muffler was 80.00 and they charged me 100.00 to do the custom bending. The tips were the expensive part but I couldn't find any others I liked so they were 80.00 a piece. So all together I spent 340.00. I have been out at ClubGp a lot and they swear by the CAI but my Bonneville actually gets air from behind the headlight so it looks like it might actually be kind of like a CAI already. The CAI will probably help more mid range and top end also. I am still learning about these cars so someone correct me if I am wrong on the CAI.

Yeah that'* what i heard but i love the sound.. i was thinking of going with the thrasher CAI... did you have stock duel pipes? i went to mineke and they said the would put a dynaflow and duel pipes for 150.
The previous owner had someone hack into the exhaust and ran it out to dual Supertrapp mufflers. Unfortunately, the Supertrapp'* or the catalytic converter unloaded and clogged up the mufflers so I had to do something. My exhaust now is pretty much like stock with a LS1 Flowmaster muffler. It goes in 3" and comes out dual 2 1/2" just like stock. The guy that did the work took almost 1.5 - 2 hours to make sure the muffler was tucked up like stock and to make sure the tips came out centered. It is much louder now than the Supertrapps were but I like it.
I did 3" because our engines can rev to 7k stock and we make our power at about 5200rpm for the horsepower and 4000 rpm for our torque.
