When ever i start my car "cold" and im backing out of the driveway, or out of a parking lot i get this weird clunk noise that sounds like its coming from the rear. i also get a similar noise when i get out of my car. The thing is, if i push on the front or rear of my car to make it bounce up and down, it does not make any noise at all? i know this isnt a very thorough \description of whats going on but any help would be appreciated.

Well, if it'* coming from the rear you've eliminated about 50% of the possibilities on where this noise is coming from. Here'* my laundry list of targets to shoot for. The exhaust, rear brakes, rear suspension, that long lost soda bottle in the trunk. Good Luck.
