And thanks, it works so far but time will tell.....
Nick..both being series 2.. this would be that tinfoil coated plastic loom and sensor you were talking about. On mine the wiring was so tight I wasn't sure it was coming off w/o busting

And I had a TB screw fall down on the top of trans/exhaust area. 1/2 hour later I saw it.

OK, I used a scanner to check for codes and since this was the first time I did this ever, I can't tell if I did it right. The results said no codes, it did give me readings on other items as in Ing timing, coolant temp and so on but no trouble codes.....
any Idea why the temp is blinking in the ECC unit and NO cold a/c air blowing????????

By the way, if the Member that sold this scanner to me is reading this thread, you forgot to send the battery cover and the manual with the unit, you said it was almost brand new!

Now I have cold A/C air blowing but the ECC temp is still blinking!
Should I disconnect the battery to reset the computer?
I would double check all your connections. It sounds like you have a loose connection somewhere. Have you check the connection to the ambient temperature sensor for the ECC? I would disconnect your battery and let it set a half and hour and reconnect it to see if the problem resolves itself. But, make sure you double check all your connections while the battery is disconnected.
