Ok so I just picked up this bonneville last weekend and I notice that while driving the hood seems to flex quite a bit. I definitely shut the hood and know for a fact it'* closed but just seems a bit odd to have that much flex.

So with the trunk it'* even worse. Again I know it'* closed and locked but I can actually pull up on the trunk several inches. Is there a way to adjust the hood and trunk so it is a tighter fight and not have so much flex or is this normal for these cars? I will try to get a video of the trunk if nobody has any ideas so you all can see how much it lifts up.

Was you car involved in an accident at one time? It'* unusual to have that much flex between the latch and the hinges. The latches can be adjusted slightly up and down as can the stop bumpers on the hood. You may want to get under the car and check to make certain that all the body to frame bolts and their assemblies are in place.
