Do most of the SSE/SSEi'* use the 4t60e-hd or the 4t65e? What is the difference between those and a normal 4t60e. I know the hd and the 65 can handle more torque and horsepower, but does anybody have numbers to go along with the words?

Only the L67 cars will be equipped with the HD version. the series one L67 cars will have the 4t60-HD attached to them, the 96 Series two L67 has the 4t60-HD, the 97 + series two will have the 4t65-HD

i've never seen proof of the 4t65 hd'* being stronger than the 4t60 hd'*

I'll take my 4T60E-HD over a 4T65E-HD anyday.

The 4T65'* seem to have alot more problems despite the higher ratings. The 4T60'* seem to be much more reliable, and have longer lifetimes.

i had a discussion with maake on this and it seems that the 60 just lasts longer and are more reliable because they dont have as much power going through them as the 65'* do now yes there are special occasions like Will and Dr.Jay. But the Series II really hammers the 65 and the Series one doesne hammer it as bad

I've seen ALOT of 65'* fail before 60k. And some as low as 30k. The sheer number of TSB'* on file for the 65'* back this up. They tried to go too far with total control of the trans on the 65 series. And at the same time, many Series 2 drivetrains include the 4T60, and hold up just fine. This includes all 95, 96, and some 97 L36'*, and all 96 and some 97 SSEi'*.

I've heard the 65'* are constantly adjusting under 30 MPH, while the 60 just "stays put." I forget what it part it was reffering to though. :?
