Default Transmission Question

My 1989 Bonneville seems to be having a transmission problem. The other day I pulled up to a stop sign on a slight incline and took my foot of the brake and car acted as if it wanted to keep going. It felt like it was surging. My question is could this have something to do with the TCC solenoid and if so where do I located this thing on my car as my manuel doesn't mention it. The TCC locks and unlocks fine on the highway and i've only had this problem a couple of times. I recently had my transmission filter and fluid changed thinking this might help solve the problem. The car is great otherwise but this has got me stumped. With 198.000 on the car i'm figuring it'* about time for a transmission failure of somekind. Thanks for the help.

I have a '90 SSE. Wow, 198k! Is that the original tranny? I am sure the real experts in this forum will know specifics, but it sounds to me like you may be lucky in that it'* not slipping i.e. it is probably something serviceable like the throttle valve or a vaccum issue. <This post is meant to console you more than fix the actual problem... > Good luck!
