Default Transmission 99 Bonneville SSE

Stutters when shifting hard. Also the has very bad banging when accelerating from a dead stop sometimes.

The car has 125K and the tranny was serviced recently but did not fix it.

Any thoughts?

Do you know if any codes are presently stored in the pcm for the trans? Most of the trans codes will push the line pressure to max (96psi) and that makes shifts pretty harsh.

As for the shuddering, most likely it'* a prelude to a rebuild or swap.
